New Offices for the Digital Building Heritage Group

DBHG Office SmallThe Digital Building Heritage Group moved offices last week to bigger premises on the north side of De Montfort University’s campus in Leicester into a building called Heritage House (location map).  This is right in the historic heart of the city only a few yards from where the south gate of the city’s Roman wall used to stand. The back of the building faces the historic Leicester Castle precinct and the medieval church of St. Mary De Castro where William Chaucer was married and the front looks across to the Greyfriars quarter where Richard III was buried and to Leicester Cathedral. The new offices mean that as well as having improved computer networking, better support facilities like meetings rooms, a small kitchen and more room for us all to work in we are closer to the rich historic architecture of Leicester. We’re looking forward to being able to eat lunch outdoors in the churchyard when the weather gets better and enjoying the privilege of being so close to the city’s rich architectural heritage. Our new address is:
